The Business Challenge
Telstra Country Wide (TCW) was formed in June 2000 - a business unit set up to ensure Telstra had a local presence in Australia's main centres and many local communities.
Telstra Country Wide had a need to communicate to their Portfolio Managed customers - a group who have historically received little to no direct communication from Telstra, introducing them to Mobile Business solutions in the "soft sell" environment.
Leveraging off the V8 Supercar Championships a series of breakfasts were organized in regional areas following the V8 race days.
The Solution:
TCW engaged Devnet to:
- Project Manage the 13 event series and the communications between three agencies
- Complete customer data management
- Full design and build of the registration website, reminder and email invitation sends.
Devnet worked closely with all external agencies to ensure a complete understanding of their processes and individual needs. Turnaround timelines and internal approval processes were also taken into account in developing a schedule of work that would be achievable by all parties. Regular communication and feedback was given to individual agencies to ensure that throughout the project, highlighted issues were addressed and resolved.
- Customer data is managed centrally within Devnet’s Campaign Manager Database to ensure its integrity.
- Series of event email invitations and reminders designed, built and sent to customers to build interest in the events and ensure successful response
Campaign statistics were easily accessible to the client including registrations, bouncebacks and unsubscribes through the Campaign Manager interface. Ease of registration ensured event registration numbers were above expectations.
